Flourish is envisioned as a vibrant café and bakery located in the heart of downtown Iowa City. The design celebrates the idea of growth and creativity, offering a space where community and artistry intersect. Drawing inspiration from Antoni Gaudí’s iconic Casa Batlló, the interior features fluid, organic forms and a sense of movement that transforms the dining experience into something immersive and memorable.

The centerpiece of the design is a second-floor indoor balcony that overlooks the main café area. This elevated space creates visual drama and intimacy, echoing Gaudí’s approach to layering and spatial flow. Curved lines, natural textures, and playful details invite visitors to linger, fostering an atmosphere that feels both dynamic and serene.
